Hey!

My name is Sabrina and I am the Social Media Manager for Teach English In China.

For me it all began when I made the decision after a year of working in Birmingham post-graduating, that I was ready to challenge, explore, discover, travel and teach abroad. Apart from the fact that I’d done a Chinese Modern History module during university, which had sparked some interest, there is no other reason that I chose China apart from that Teach English In China’s programme stood out to me as a worthy one! Over a year and a half down the line, looking back, I don’t have a single regret.

I took part in the long-term teaching programme in Shanghai. Over the past year and a half or so I have taught English at two amazing primary schools. I’m still currently in Shanghai but will be returning after two years this Summer to start my PGCE at Birmingham. I hope to continue to inspire and help others in embarking on their Teach English In China adventure.

During my time in China, I have written numerous travel and China articles. I also currently write a weekly blog about my life in Shanghai, travel vlog and am responsible for the social media aspect of Teach English in China.

I absolutely love China, and Teach English In China has been the key to all the experiences I’ve had, the Chinese language I’ve learnt, the many countries I’ve travelled to, the people I’ve met, the skills I’ve developed and the memories I’ve made. I’m always available to answer any questions, queries and the like, with complete honesty and experience.
