I thoroughly enjoyed my time in China, Xi’an is a fantastic city and the last 10 months has given me very valuable experience, both in and out of the classroom.
The school was good, our apartments were nice and gave us plenty of room and had all the necessary furnishings including a computer with Internet access, cooking equipment and a washing machine. The schedule seemed quite full to start with but we got used to it quite quickly, the training was only for 3 days but the school provided us with books, teaching aids and also teaching assistants who were amazing, despite their tough schedules they took time to help us out with so many things.
We were also given 2 hours of Chinese lessons every week with a fabulous teacher called Tony who became a good friend as well as a teacher. All in all it’s been a great 10 months in which I learnt so much about China, the Chinese people and culture, and also about myself.
