Year after year, our team of former foreign teachers works tirelessly to offer students and graduates from across the UK and beyond the opportunity to gain valuable long and short-term experience in China. We’re extremely excited to announce that this year we have won the iStudy Guide 2018/19 award for Excellence in Summer Volunteering Programs after having been nominated by a former Summer Teaching Camp participant.
Over the years, we’ve welcomed hundreds of young people onto our Summer Teaching Programme, which takes place in 3 small (by Chinese standards) cities across China; Haining, Huzhou and Xuzhou. We’ve always been delighted to hear the great stories, memories and friendships our participants bring back from the experience, and how it influences what they do next. We continuously hear of former participants being inspired to return to China, pursue a teaching career or master Chinese, and we’re delighted that so many stay involved with Teach English In China to share their experience with future teachers.
Through offering short-term teaching placements in China, we aim to give students and graduates the opportunity to explore a fascinating country from a unique point of view whilst gaining important transferrable skills. Whether you’re interested in a teaching career or not, the experience provides a great addition to your CV that stands out in many industries.
We understand how daunting it can be to spend any length of time working abroad, which is why we offer a comprehensive service that means participants feel both supported and prepared – even if you’ve never taught before! In order to ensure you have an enjoyable, rewarding experience that you’ll remember for all the right reasons, our Summer Teaching Programme includes a pre-departure Training Day, visa support and ongoing guidance from our experienced team.
We are honoured to have won this award, and we aim to continue developing and improving our services in 2019, focusing on our core values of giving our participants access to support and training, safe schools, transparent information, and an active alumni community.
